Real LIVI Reference: Why “Close to 30,000” and “At Least 30,000” Are Different

A published LIVI Pakistan project uses a 144-bird H-type configuration with a 1800 mm cage module. The project shows 208 sets arranged as 4 rows × 52 sets inside a 110 m × 12 m × 3.5 m poultry house.

That layout provides 29,952 bird places (208 × 144), so it is very close to 30,000 but does not mathematically reach a strict 30,000-place target. If the purchasing requirement is “at least 30,000 places,” the calculation must move up to at least 209 sets, and the row arrangement and house fit should then be checked again.

What This Means When You Plan the Building

There is a direct trade-off between house length, house width and cage density:

  • More sets in each row ? longer house, fewer rows required.
  • More cage rows ? shorter house, but greater internal width is required.
  • Higher bird capacity per complete set ? fewer sets, but the system may be taller or use a different module dimension.
  • A shorter cage module ? shorter cage line for the same number of sets.

Does a 4-Tier or 5-Tier H-Type System Change the Number of Cage Sets?

It can, but tier count should not be used as a separate shortcut for calculating cage quantity.

The correct number to use is still the rated birds per complete cage set.

If moving from one tier configuration to another increases the rated capacity of each complete set, fewer sets may be needed for the same 30,000-layer target.
